This hasn't been a great year for the number of posts on this blog, so in an attempt to boost the numbers, I have several shows to share before the end 2025. I had a request (this is for you, Iggy!) for a Refreshments show I mentioned in an earlier post that, at the time, was the final live show from the band. Soon after, front man, Roger Clyne renamed the band, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, who sounded similar and often performed Refreshments songs in their live shows. Track 7 features one of the earliest performances of Never Thought, that was later recorded by RCPM. I tend to enjoy farewell shows, but this one is a little more low key, without much fanfare, so if you don't listen carefully to the banter you might have little idea this was the last. Of course, the band did reunite and performed as the Refreshments in 2013, as well as in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy and 2021 live-streamed for the 25th anniversary. Still, this is a great sounding concert from a band I really enjoyed in the 1990's.
Enjoy!
